Two Students Raise Over 80 Thousand Dollars Towards the Launch of an Innovative New Razor

Rockwell Razors founders, Gareth Everard and Morgan Nordstrom, were featured on Toronto's popular Breakfast Television on September 26th. The two University of Western students discussed their successful Kickstarter campaign, which has now raised over 80 thousand dollars toward the retail release of the Rockwell 6S Razor in less than two weeks.

"We raised all of our goal--everything we needed to make our razor – in under 24 hours," said Gareth. "Now, we've passed 72 thousand dollars raised from over one thousand people around the world."

Speaking of numbers, the segment also detailed how the innovative Rockwell 6S Razor--which combines the precision and nostalgia of a traditional razor with the efficiency and customizability come to be expected from any 21st century product--will shave hundreds of dollars off individuals' yearly razor budgets by eliminating the need for cartridges.

"We're both students--we're price sensitive," said Morgan. "There has to be a better way to shave than buying expensive cartridges, but we couldn't find anything out there, so we created it. We created The Rockwell 6S."

In addition, the young entrepreneurs revealed their razor prototype, a sleek and classic-looking safety razor with one major update: it is completely customizable. Equipped with 6 different shave sizes that allow slight adjustments in the angle and gap between the razor and blade, the Rockwell 6S can be completely personalized to a man's beard type, from thin and sparse to coarse and curly and everything in between.

Very smooth

Very smooth shave with nr.3, nr.1 didn’t do much, overall very pleased with the product, feels like a real quality product even though it’s made in China, highly recommended

Lots of Options

I lost my Razor in a move which caused tremendous stress. The razor was quickly replaced so you can't get a much stronger endorsement than that. Now I have a long growth haven't shaved since Thursday and tomorrow is Monday morning. It's nice to know I can put a 4 plate on and get the job done smoothly.

Best razor yet

I have been searching for the best razor and I found it in the Rockwell 6C. Also, a great value. I am done looking

6S, A Razor Built to Last

I’m impressed with the build quality of the 6S. Seems like a heavy duty razor that will last for generations, if passed down. It provides comfortable shaves with the right blade. I must admit that Rockwell blades are not great in my opinion because they lack sharpness and thus whisker cutting ability. I can’t speak to the cream (still using another cream I already had) and the brush yet in that I’ve not tried them. The cream does seem to have a nice barber scent. Brush seems well constructed, but I’ll likely never use because I’m okay with applying cream with fingertips.
